OLGA CHUMAKOVA

 I am a scientist by training and thanks to my extensive work at the university I have accumulated some experience in biology and microscopy together with happy memories of my colleagues. My colleagues were different ages, from many countries of the world, they were well-educated and hard-working. Every day we tried to get answers about nature and human beings, and every day we got more questions. I am still trying to find some answers with my painting.
I continue to develop my craft by working with different mediums while studying art at the Draw Paint Academy with Dan Scott. 
My paintings have been exhibited at the Galveston Art League and the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, and have been published in "Human Ties" magazine by the McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics. I am a member of The Woodlands Art League and the Galveston Art League; my piece "Agaves" won first place, while "Hines Lake" and "Night at Hermann Park" received honorable mentions in juried exhibitions.
